Melem is a safe, multi purpose balm, used in Europe for over 15 years. It is a firm cream; pleasant and easy to use and very effective. Ingredients are mostly natural: beeswax, lanolin,      castor oil in a non-greasy petrolatum base.

As an all-purpose skin and lip balm, does it mean Melem is a jack of all trades and a master of none? Not at all: it is extremely effective wherever you need to relieve pain, itching, chaffing,  and flaking and soften skin, nails and cuticles. Focus groups  studies we have conducted show that it is at least as effective as prescription  treatment of ezcema and

it is a lot safer, too. Its mostly natural ingredients make it safe for kids under two years old.

Why don't we claim Melem will cure or treat all of these ailments?

Since Melem does not contain medicinal additives, government regulations do not allow us to claim we can cure...Be aware of products that claim cures. We do provide relief and soothe really well.

Melem is also a very good cosmetic for men and women. While we don't claim to remove wrinkles, we are a skin softener. Instead of contracting, filling in the cracks, or stretching the skin, we soften it. In the long run, we believe this is much kinder for your skin. The reason we get wrinkles is that our skin loses elasticity.Melem increases elasticity. Plus, this is not a perfumy product. Many of our customers are men, as well as women.   If you use a little bit, it is  not greasy either

Since it is a skin softener, it works really well on tough skin on heels and hands, and calluses. The lanolin in it is wonderful on nails and cuticles, too.

Have a question about expiration dates on some jars of Melem? According to the FDA, expiration dates are meaningless and are not required. According to the developer and inventor,  Melem is at full strength at least 5 to 7 years after manufacture and even then it is still effective after that. The current manufacturer believes the shelf life is 4 years after manufacture. All products we are currently shipping were manufactured in the beginning of 2006. Certification
